Call for Papers and Invitation to Summer School

This conference and summer school will consider economic issues of transportation. They will focus on pricing, financing, and investment to expand capacity in transport, and the interaction between these. An overriding general theme is the economic theory of transportation, and the application of the theory to analyzing practical pricing, financing and investment issues. But other aspects and approaches are also welcome, such as financial, institutional, and political effects. Particular attention will be paid to alternative organizational forms to manage capacity, to provide transport services, and to build infrastructures in efficient and effective ways. The conference and summer school offer an integrated five days of classes, seminars, discussions in parallel working groups, and plenary sessions for keynote lectures and paper presentations. Each event, however, is self-sustaining, so participation in either one alone is possible.
